Felicity Huffman heads to work on new ABC sitcom after landing first acting gig since completing prison term for college admissions scandal

She landed the starring role in a comedy pilot for ABC following her stint in federal prison for her involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal.

And on Thursday, it was back to work for Felicity Huffman as she headed to a location set for filming.

The former Desperate Housewives star, 57, was seen getting into her Tesla wearing a baseball cap with an American flag on the front and carrying a backpack.

Huffman wore a black top under a brown zipper jacket and a pair of baggy black pants.

Her face was concealed behind sunglasses and a black cloth face mask.

It was reported on November 30 that Huffman had been signed to play a character based on Sacramento River Cats owner Susan Savage, who inherited the Triple-A baseball team on the death of her husband.

The as-yet untitled half-hour comedy project created by Becky Hartman Edwards will co-star The Peanut Butter Falcon‘s Zack Gottsagen as Savage’s baseball-obsessed Down syndrome son.

In May 2019, Huffman pleaded guilty to paying disgraced admissions consultant Rick Singer $15,000 to have a proctor change her daughter Sophia’s answers for the better after she took the SAT test.

The actress was handed a 14-day prison sentence, of which she served 11 days in October 2019.

She has also completed 250 hours of community service and one year of supervised probation. 

Huffman’s husband, Shameless star William H. Macy was not charged in the scandal.
