And Claire Holt has opened up about the heartbreaking miscarriage she suffered before falling pregnant with her children.

‘My miscarriage [was the hardest thing of my life]. I thought I’d never be able to have children,’ the actress, 32, confessed in an Instagram Q&A.

Claire revealed her miscarriage in a moving Instagram post in 2018.

She shared a photo of herself in hospital, writing in the caption that she felt ‘broken’ after losing her baby.

The Australian actress became pregnant with her son James five months after she suffered the miscarriage.

In September this year, Claire and husband Andrew welcomed their second child, a baby girl into the world.

The TV star shared the news with her fans on her Instagram page, and revealed their daughter’s very sweet name.

‘She’s here. Our sweet girl, Elle. After 27.5 hours of labor, she flew into the world and expanded our hearts. We are so grateful for our healthy baby and cannot wait for her to meet her big brother,’ she wrote.

Claire married Andrew in August 2018, eight months after their engagement.

She was previously married to film producer Matthew Kaplan, who filed for divorce in April 2017, a day before their one-year anniversary.

Claire, who hails from Brisbane, is known for her roles in U.S. TV shows The Originals, The Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars.
