Tom Burgess’ model fiancée Tahlia Giumelli has revealed that the NRL star can now see their newborn daughter in hospital, after they were kept apart due to getting testing for COVID-19.
Tahlia shared with fans an update on their daughter Elodie’s condition, saying that despite her and her four-week-old’s negative covid test results, the tiny tot is battling RSV, or a respiratory syncytial virus.
It comes after Tahlia shared a heartbreaking photo of Tom looking through a glass door at his daughter in the recovery suite at hospital, unable to get in until getting she and their baby received the all-clear.

Tahlia could be seen nursing their baby in selfie shared on her Instagram stories on Friday.
‘Covid test came back negative. Elodie has respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) it’s super common but just not great for newborns especially as she was a bit prem,’ Tahlia wrote.
She added: ‘Lots of cuddles (and coffee for mum).’

The news came as a new coronavirus cluster emerges in Sydney.
As of Friday morning, a total of 17 cases have surfaced in Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
Tahlia shared a heartbreaking photo of the rugby league player peering at his daughter through the hospital room’s glass windows.
‘This image broke my heart and for the first time during this whole experience I cried,’ she wrote in the caption.
Tahlia, who is also mother to one-year-old daughter Sophie, added: ‘There’s nothing more painful than being apart from your child when they need you the most.’
