SNL alum Kristen Wiig masks up to host the 46th season finale: ‘The Christmas episodes are my favorite!’

Saturday Night Live alum Kristen Wiig masked up at 30 Rockefeller Plaza in Manhattan on Wednesday to return as host for the 46th season finale of the NBC sketch show.

COVID-19 is spiking nationwide, and there have been reportedly over 370K confirmed coronavirus cases in New York City leading to 24K deaths as of Wednesday. 

This Saturday marks the 47-year-old new mother’s third time hosting and two-time Grammy winner Dua Lipa’s second time serving musical guest duties.

Kristen is on SNL to promote her dual role as archaeologist Barbara Minerva and The Cheetah in Patty Jenkins’ sequel Wonder Woman 1984, which premieres December 25 on HBO Max.

‘It’s crazy. I still feel like it didn’t happen. It’s like a dream!’ Wiig marveled of the $200M-budget action movie.

‘It was like, you train for an hour and then you have stunt choreography for like four hours and then you have lunch and then you have a movement class. It was very intense.’

Earlier this year, the Bless the Harts actress welcomed twins via surrogate with her fiancé and fellow Groundlings alum, Avi Rothman.
