Chris Bath shares astonishing before and after pictures of her farm one year after the bushfires

Chris Bath has shared incredible photos that show how her drought-stricken farm has been transformed into an unrecognisable sea of green.

The 53-year-old veteran journalist shared the images, taken just one year apart, to Instagram on Wednesday.

‘What a difference a year makes (and some precipitation),’ she captioned the post.

The contrasting images of Chris’ farm in New South Wales’ Lower Hunter Valley show the devastating impact of last year’s catastrophic bushfires.

The bushfire season was the worst in history, killing 27 people, more than a billion animals and destroying more than 2,100 homes.

Chris’ post comes after she discovered a fox problem in her neighbourhood after reviewing camera trap footage from her backyard.

The 10 News First presenter shared vision of a fox stalking through her property, telling her Instagram followers it’s ‘what you don’t want to see’.

Red foxes, which were introduced to Australia by British colonists in the nineteenth century for the purpose of fox hunting, pose a serious threat to native animals.

‘What you don’t want to see when you check your camera traps,’ the 53-year-old newsreader captioned the footage.

Several of Chris’ followers agreed foxes were a pest in their backyards, too.

‘Make sure your chooks [chickens] are safe. We lost some even in suburban Brisbane to a fox’ one fan wrote.

Another added: ‘They are all over suburban Sydney as well.’
