The video starts with Sivan staring into a mirror, as he snipped away at his mullet, while soaked in green light.

It’s cut together with glimpses of the Australian singer in an intimate embrace, this time lit up in blue.

They hit the road in the dead of night, as he sings under red light from the passenger seat, along with flashes of street signs and headlights.

He then hits the dance floor, spinning around under flashing lights with a now free-styling crowd of country guys and gals.

Musgraves co-wrote the latest version of the tune, which features a somber melody by Mark Ronson.

The song was originally written and performed by Sivan as a solo for his fifth EP In a Dream, dropping the single in July.

The lyrics are about salvaging a dying relationship, leading many to believe it was inspired by his breakup with model Jacob Bixenman, 26, whom he dated from 2016 to 2020.

He told Spotify during the release: ‘I’ve never felt this way before a release. I’m uncomfortable and feel a bit squeamish, but I know that I needed to write this song.’

The subject of the song likely resonates with Musgraves, who filed for divorce from husband Ruston Kelly, 32, in July, after tying the knot in 2017.
