Channel Seven confirmed Delta Goodrem’s departure from The Voice judging panel on Wednesday.

The network revealed UK pop star Rita Ora, 30, will join an all-star panel of Australian singers, including Keith Urban, Jessica Mauboy and Guy Sebastian in 2021.

And now, fans have flocked to social media to express their disappointment after it was revealed Delta would not be returning to the show.

‘We all gonna miss Delta she was always my favourite,’ one person wrote. ‘What the hell! Where is Delta?’ another asked.

‘Going to miss Delta, but she has moved onto bigger and better things,’ another one said.

‘No Delta and no Kelly. I’m not watching this year,’ one person commented. ‘Delta will be sorely missed on The Voice, the show won’t be the same without it,’ another said.

‘EXCITING but low key going to miss delta,’ another person agreed. ‘Where is Deltaa?’ another asked alongside crying emojis.

Delta joined The Voice in 2012, and served as a judge every year except 2014. 

Meanwhile, the line-up of The Voice Australia judging panel for 2021 was announced on Wednesday.

While Guy survived the chop when the program announced its move from Channel Nine to Channel Seven this year, the rest are out – former mentors Kelly Rowland, 39, Boy George, 59, and Delta, 36, will not return.

New judge Rita Ora is a seasoned talent show judge, having appeared on the British editions of The Voice and X Factor.

‘I love The Voice and I absolutely adore Australia so this is a match made in heaven,’ she told Perth Now.

‘Having been a coach on the UK series, I know just how powerful it can be in making dreams come true. I can’t wait to find Australia’s next superstar,’ she added.

The Voice is set to air on Channel Seven for the first time in 2021, after Network Nine failed to renew its contract after a nine-year run.
