Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs remembers his late love Kim Porter as she would have turned 50

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs remembered his late ex-girlfriend Kim Porter as she would have turned 50 on Tuesday.

Combs, 51, posted a clip with a montage of he and the late Porter, who died at 47 from pneumonia on November 15, 2018 at her home in Los Angeles. 

‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY @ladykp,’ the Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down singer captioned the post. ‘Words can’t explain how much we miss you but today is your birthday. We’re celebrating you today! We love and we miss you!!!!!’

In the black-and-white clip which was scored to The Lady in My Life by the late Michael Jackson, the rap impresario was seen in a series of affectionate shots with Porter, who he shared three kids with – son Christian, 22, and 13-year-old twins Jessie James and D’Lila Star. Porter was also mother to son Quincy, 29, from a past relationship, as Combs to father to son Justin, 26, and daughter Chance, 14.

Porter’s funeral was held at Evergreen Memorial Garden Cemetery in her native Columbus, Georgia on November 24, 2018. 

Combs had her casket in a carriage pulled by horses ahead of the public service at Cascade Hills Church.

Among those in attendance included Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Nene Leakes, Kandi Burruss, Lil’ Kim, Usher, Kimora Lee Simmons, Russell Simmons, while Faith Evans performed in Porter’s memory. 

In November, Combs posted multiple tributes to Porter two years after her passing, writing, ‘QUEEN KIM PORTER!! IRREPLACEABLE … LOVE YOU FOREVER’ with a heart emoji.

In a separate post, the New York City native wrote of Porter: ‘The Ebony Goddess!!! I miss her so much!!! And always will!!!!’ with an emoji of a broken heart.

The couple had dated on and off since the 1990s, separating for the last time in 2007.

An insider in 2018 told People that the musical artist was ‘devastated and shocked’ at Porter’s premature death: ‘He and Kim were still very close friends and co-parents even though their romantic relationship didn’t work. They were still a family.’
