Neighbours’ Bonnie Anderson shares her joy at buying her first home

Neighbours star Bonnie Anderson, 25, buys her first home after winning The Masked Singer earlier this year

Neighbours star Bonnie Anderson has purchased her first home in Melbourne. 

The 25-year-old posted a series of photos to Instagram on Wednesday of herself standing in front of a ‘sold’ sign.

Bonnie posed with her family and friends next to the sign, along with her dog.

‘I’ve dreamt of doing this for a very long time and I finally did it, I bought my first home all on my own,’ she wrote in the caption

‘And of course I had to be a nerd burger and take lots of pics! Just a extremely happy lass.’

Bonnie was inundated with well-wishes from her celebrity friends.

‘Congratulations, this is such an exciting moment that you will never forget,’ The Masked Singer judge Dannii Minogue wrote. 

Ex-Bachelorette Angie Kent added: ‘So proud of you, baby! I’m currently searching and it’s the best feeling to know you can do it all on your own!’  

Her former Neighbours co-star Tim Robards also wrote ‘congrats’.

Gogglebox star Yvie Jones wrote: ‘Congrats, honey! Well done.’  

The personal achievement comes after Bonnie won The Masked Singer in September. She appeared on the show as The Bushranger. 

Speaking to The Wash in October, Bonnie said it was difficult hiding her involvement from her family.

‘It was a pretty hard thing trying to hide that I was on the show. I even hid it from my parents, and I’m a terrible liar!’ she said.   

While Bonnie admitted she could lie more easily to friends, it was harder when it came to her nearest and dearest.

‘For me that was a massive struggle. I had close friends asking if I’d admit that it was me. But it was a really challenging lying to my family,’ she noted.

She went on to say she was grateful for the opportunity to work with such an ‘epic’ team on The Masked Singer, who made the show ‘enjoyable and safe’. 

During the season finale, Bonnie beat runner-up Kate Miller-Heidke, who was unmasked as The Queen earlier in the episode.

Best known for her role as Bea Nilsson in Neighbours, Bonnie is also a singer and was the first winner of Australia’s Got Talent in 2007, at the age of 12.
