Cameron Merchant imparted some words of wisdom with his fans on Instagram on Wednesday. 

The 36-year-old former Married At First Sight star appeared to have been in a reflective mood as he shared a selfie of himself at sunrise. 

‘Staying positive doesn’t mean you have to be happy all the time. It means that even on hard days you know that there are better ones coming,’ he began.

He added: ‘Special little sunrise early this morning in the middle of I have no idea cause I just woke up… Heading across to Adelaide. Have the best day team.’

Cam later revealed it was his first time being away from his 11-week-old son, Oliver, who he shares with his wife of a year, fellow MAFS star Jules Robinson.

‘First time away & it’s only been less than 24 hours & I’m already missing my little guy ridiculous amounts (& Mum of course),’ he wrote. 

‘Wow… Assuming that’s very normal?’

He also included a series of adorable photos of himself snuggling up to his baby boy.
