Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNeary are matching donations up to $25,000 to St. Joseph Center

With Christmas just 10 days away, Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNeary are helping spread some holiday cheer to families in need in Los Angeles.

The 53-year-old Jimmy Kimmel Live host took to Instagram on Tuesday night to share a picture of his two youngest children, William, 3, and Jane, 6, while making a charitable announcement.

He revealed that his family will match donations to St. Joseph Center up to $25,000 to help struggling families in and around Los Angeles.

‘Let’s make sure that every kid gets presents this year,’ Kimmel began in his Instagram caption.

‘@StJosephCtr makes sure that children in LA & their parents have food to eat and gifts to open,’ he added.

‘$25 can help bring holiday cheer to those who badly need it. Donate this week and my wife Molly & I will match ALL donations up to $25,000,’ Kimmel concluded.

He also directed his 2.3 million followers to a link to the St. Joseph’s Center Holiday Fundraiser website, where fans can donate.

‘This year has been extraordinarily difficult for all of us, but the impact of the pandemic has been uneven,’ read a statement on the website.

‘People who are vulnerable as a result of homelessness and poverty have been hit much harder. Your donation today will support families who are struggling and bring much-needed holiday joy!’ the statement continued.

‘Thank you for your support of St. Joseph Center client families this holiday season,’ the statement concluded.

While donations of any amount can be made, the website reveals that a $25 donation will provide a toy for a child.

A $50 donation provides toys for two children, or a different $50 donation provides one week of healthy groceries to a family in need.

There are also two separate $100 donations as well, one of which provides toys for four children, while another offers two weeks of healthy groceries to a family. 

Kimmel started dating McNearny, a former head writer on Jimmy Kimmel Live, in 2009 and they tied the knot in 2013.

Their daughter Jane was born in 2014, and their son William in 2017, who was born with a rare congenital heart defect known was tetralogy of Fallot (TOF).
