Harrison Ford safely lands at the airport months after FAA cleared him to fly following incident

Harrison Ford might win husband of the year in 2020.

The 78-year-old acting legend was spotted safely landing his plane at Santa Monica Airport with his dog after picking up his mother-in-law and bringing her to Los Angeles for the holidays.

His flight on Wednesday comes just a little over two months after the Federal Aviation Administration officially cleared him to return to piloting following an incident at an airport in April.

Best husband ever: Harrison Ford was spotted safely landing his plane at Santa Monica Airport with his dog after picking up his mother-in-law on Wednesday

The Indiana Jones star looked as dapper as ever as he disembarked his plane in a pair of denim jeans, a light blue button up and a navy blue sweater jacket.

He was all smiles while stepping onto the tarmac with his small brown dog trotting alongside him on a leash.

Ford was reportedly shuttling his mother-in-law, Kay Flockhart, on his private jet to Los Angeles to be home with he and his wife Calista Flockhart for the Christmas holidays.

Harrison and The Ally McBeal star have been married for 20 years, tying the knot in 2010. However, they were together for eight years before that after meeting at the Golden Globes.

They share one child together, son Liam, whom Flockhart adopted in 2001.

In late October, the FAA gave the go-ahead for Harrison to return to flying following an investigation into an incident that occurred at a California airport.

The snafu happened several months prior when Ford misheard instructions from the tower just after landing.

He was told to hold short of the runway at Hawthorne Airport because another aircraft was practicing touch-and-go landings there, but he still crossed and taxied to the other end, much to the alarm of the tower operator.

Ford profusely apologized and said he thought he was told he had been cleared to cross the runway.

There was no danger of the aircraft crashing because the other plane was 3,600 feet away from Ford’s when it hit the runway and was up in the air again long before reaching the area where the actor was.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) looked into the ordeal and, according to the New York Times, ultimately cleared the Star Wars actor to pilot again after he completed ‘a remedial runway incursion training course’.

However, the outlet noted that due to agency rules, he had not been grounded while the investigation was underway and was able to keep flying in the interim.

This was not the actors first or even second aviation incident. In February 2017, Ford mistakenly landed on the taxiway at John Wayne Airport, narrowly missing a Boeing 737 full of passengers.

Ford had been instructed to land on runway 20-L at the airport in Orange County, California.

But the then-74-year-old mistakenly aimed for a taxiway, just passing over an American Airlines 737 loaded with more than 100 passengers and a six-person crew.

Scary! Harrison has a long history of incidents, accidents and snafus throughout his decades as a pilot, including this one in 2015 when he crashed into a golf course following engine failure

In 2015, Ford broke his pelvis and ankle when his World-War II-era ST3KR aircraft suffered engine failure and made an emergency landing on a Santa Monica golf course.

Five years prior to that, wind sheer forced him to perform an emergency landing in a Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft at Nebraska’s Lincoln Municipal Airport.

The plane clipped the runway and its wing tips were damaged, but Ford and his passenger were uninjured.

And, in 1999, the star crash-landed a Bell 206 JetRanger helicopter in a dry riverbed in suburban Los Angeles.
