Taylor Swift did not name a song after her good friend Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s daughter.
Fans had become convinced Taylor, 31, had revealed the secret with a series of clues on her Evermore album, but it turns out, they are just lyrics.
Sources connected to Gigi told TMZ: ‘No. Gigi and Zayn’s baby girl’s name isn’t Dorothea, which is a song on Taylor’s new album, Evermore.

‘That was the hot fan theory turned-rumour over the weekend, but we’re told Swifties are connecting dots that aren’t there.’
The fan theory came about largely because Gigi recently shared some throwback photos of her pregnancy and mentioned the word ‘August’ in the caption.
August is the eighth track on Taylor’s penultimate album Folklore and fans noted the eighth track on Evermore is Dorothea.

Sources also told TMZ that Gigi wrote August simply because that was the month the pictures were taken and she won’t reveal her daughter’s name.
Others actually believed that the track was about Selena Gomez with many citing the Wizard Of Oz is her favorite movie where the heroine is named Dorothy as well as lyrics about a girl who moved to Hollywood and got ‘shiny friends.’
However the majority of people deducted from a wide array of information that Dorothea may in fact be Hadid’s baby’s name, which has been shrouded in secrecy.
Swift name-checked Lively’s two kids Inez and James in her track Betty – which was later revealed as her child’s name – with fans thinking it was entirely possible she would do the same for Gigi.
Dropping hints: After the release of Evermore fans draw a line back to Hadid’s post on November 30 where she mentioned August which was the eighth track off Folklore

One fan tweeted, ‘GUYS gigi’s baby’s name is Dorothea! as you all know taylor announced the name of blake’s baby “betty” through folklore!
‘Gigi posted a picture with caption “august, waiting for our girl” james was waiting august behind the mall. august is track 8, Dorothea is also the 8th track!’
Another wrote, ‘Gigi Hadid’s baby is named Dorothea and you can’t convince me otherwise.’
To add fuel to the fire Swift provided some information on a Youtube chat ahead of the album drop where she said:
‘There’s not a direct continuation of the betty/james/august storyline, but in my mind Dorothea went to the same school as Betty James and Inez,’ as she mentioned Lively’s kids by name.
She teased at the end, ‘You’ll meet her soon,’ which led eagle-eye fans to believe she was referencing the ‘Zigi’ baby.
