Taylor Swift confirms the hidden ‘Woodvale’ message is NOT a third album title on Jimmy Kimmel Live

After fans discovered the seemingly secretive hidden message Woodvale on Taylor Swift‘s Folklore album cover, many fans theorized it was the title of yet another secret album.

Folklore was a ‘secret’ album released in July, recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic, with Swift shocking fans again by releasing a second ‘secret’ album entitled Evermore last week.

The singer, who celebrated her 31st birthday on Sunday, revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live that it’s not a secret album title… but the secretive working title for Folklore.

After showing viewers the somewhat hidden Woodvale message, Kimmel asked Swift if it was ‘true or false’ that Woodvale was the third album title.

‘This takes a bit of explanation. I tend to be sort of annoyingly secret agent-y about dropping clues and hints and Easter Eggs,’ Swift began.

She added it’s ‘fun for fans and fun for me because they like to pick up on things,’ though she added, ‘Sometimes I take it too far and I make a mistake.

‘Basically, when I was making Folklore, the album that came out in July, I was so afraid to release the title to even my closest teammates and management,’ she said, adding she didn’t tell anybody the album title until, ‘right before it came out.’

‘I came up with a fake code name that had the same amount of letters as Folklore. Chose a random name. Chose Woodvale. Wanted to see how it would look on the album covers, mocked them up, and then decided I don’t actually want to have a title on the album covers. And we forgot to take the fake code name off of one of them,’ Swift explained.

When an incredulous Kimmel asked if that was ‘really true,’ Swift admitted,’ Yes, that’s what happened,’ with a laugh, as Kimmel joked this album is like the third season of Lost.

She added that, ‘Evermore had a code name. It was November. We remembered to take it off the mock-ups of the album covers before we released it this time. We learned our lesson.’

Kimmel then decided to come up with a wild fan theory of his own, claiming that she’s going backwards in the alphabet from Folklore to Evermore, theorizing the next album will start with a D, that has three syllables and rhymes with Folklore and Evermore, concluding the next album will be either Dinosaur or Dumbledore.

Swift also celebrated her 31st birthday on Sunday night, and when asked if she’s hung over, she revealed her alcohol consumption strategy.

‘I prefer to hydrate while I dehydrate, so there was a lot of drink, water, drink water,’ she said.

Swift was born on December 13th, and numerology – particularly the number 13 – has always fascinated her, which is why her 31st (13 backwards) is so special.

‘Until I turn 113 or 131 this will be the highlight of my life,’ before admitting that when the numerology, ‘doesn’t happen on its own, I sort of force it to happen.’

‘With Folklore and Evermore, there are 16 tracks on Folklore. There are 15 tracks on Evermore. Add them up, what do you get? 31,’ Swift said.

Kimmel said she should go to Baskin Robbins today, and get one of their 31 flavors of ice cream, with Swift responding, ‘Thank you for reminding me. They’re open late I think.’

She joked that she’s building a new home made out of the photo on Rolling Stone cover with her and Paul McCartney.

She traveled to London to interview McCartney for the publication, and when asked if she was ‘worried about killing a Beatle,’ Swift said, ‘Wow I ‘m really glad I didn’t talk to you before I went.’

Swift confirmed that her and McCartney do have one thing in common – they both like playing music at parties when they’re asked to.

‘Yeah, we actually like it. It’s weird. It’s almost like we like music,’ Swift joked.

‘I think that we had an opportunity with Disney Plus to not only explain how to make these albums – at the time it was only one – but we can explain it because it was made under some weird circumstances,’ she said.

She collaborated with The National on these new albums, and her boyfriend Joe Alwyn even co-wrote lyrics under the pseudonym William Bowery.

However, she wouldn’t reveal how he came up with that name, adding, ‘You’ve gotta ask him. It’s more his story than mine.’

Kimmel also pointed to a Reddit chart that mentioned how her use of profanity has gone up over the last few albums.

‘It’s just been that kind of year, you know,’ Swift joked.

Kimmel also joked if she was in charge of the vaccine, it would be done in June.

‘That’s the nicest compliment anyone has ever given me,’ Swift said, as her interview came to a close.
