The Battleship Cove Museum COO Christopher Nardi confirmed the streaming giant rented Big Mamie as well as the parking lot for trailers and equipment.

‘Every little bit helps,’ Nardi told The Herald News.

‘Netflix is a great company to work with, and they were very appreciative of our cooperation…It’s good publicity for the ship, and they were so cordial and appreciative of us.’

On Friday night, an impressive fireworks display was set off over the harbor for the same political rally scene in the $75M budget movie.

‘And my first scene was entering [DCU Center in Worcester] full of 20K people as the president, my big face on the jumbotron in front of me, and I just like completely lost it, I couldn’t remember anything. But I’m sure it’ll be fine in the edit.’

Meryl continued: ‘There weren’t 20K people obviously…They’ll duplicate them [digitally in post]. There were extras all around the stadium. Lonely people separated by 20ft of air, wearing masks, and visors that are clear.

‘So they’re meant to have a big huzzah and make a big noise, but it sounds [muffled]. And the whole thing’s so eerie and odd and disconcerting.’
