Last year, two-time Oscar winner Denzel Washington urged his late protégé Chadwick Boseman to tie the knot with his then-girlfriend Taylor Simone Ledward.
‘I used to watch how she took care of him,’ the 65-year-old legendary actor told CBS Sunday Morning.
‘And I actually said to him, I said, “Man, you know, you need to put a ring on that finger,” because she kept her eye on him and she watched him. And I’m like, “Man, she loves that guy.” You know, but I didn’t know what we know now.’

‘It’s fascinating that nobody knew,’ Denzel said.
‘Well, credit to him; he kept it to himself. It was nobody’s business. He was there to deliver and he delivered…He did all he could do with what he was given, and he left it here for us to enjoy. Chad will live forever, period.’
Boseman secretly married the 30-year-old singer sometime after their October 2019 engagement following a four-year romance.
