Natalie Imbruglia is the latest celebrity to touch down in Australia, joining the likes of Mark Wahlberg, Idris Elba, Natalie Portman and Zac Efron.

The Sydney-born singer, who is now based in London, arrived this weekend with one-year-old son Max, and has commenced the two-week quarantine.

In an Instagram Stories post on Sunday, the 45-year-old joked about how her baby boy Max, nicknamed koala, thought jet lag and quarantine was ‘hysterical’.

‘It’s 3am and I’m in quarantine in Australia with jet lag and this little baby koala thinks it’s hysterical!!’ Natalie captioned an early morning shot of the pair in pyjamas.

Natalie has kept a low profile in recent years, largely staying out of the spotlight to focus on starting a family.

The Torn songstress welcomed son Max via IVF in October last year.

Natalie signed a new record deal with BMG UK last year and has been working on her new album throughout 2020.

When the coronavirus pandemic hit, Natalie temporarily shifted to recording from home in a makeshift studio

‘Natalie’s record has been moved into next year but, rather than stop the recording process, she has set up a studio at home and she’s working over technology and successfully making the record,’ BMG UK president Alistair Norbury told Music Week back in May.

The new album will be Natalie’s first album of all new material in over a decade.
