Meghan King shares video of her ‘cozy’ and ‘safe’ new home decked out in holiday decor

She’s not letting her soon-to-be ex-husband’s criticisms get to her.

Meghan King shared a Boomerang video of her new home to her Instagram on Friday, which showed a living room that was orderly and decked out in pristine Christmas decorations.

The post came after Meghan’s estranged husband Jim Edmonds shared images to his Instagram the day prior in which he accused her of leaving their former home ‘dirty’ when she moved out.

Take that: Meghan King shared a Boomerang video of her new home to her Instagram on Friday, after her estranged husband Jim Edmonds shared images the day prior in which he accused her of leaving their former home ‘dirty’ when she moved out

The Real Housewives of Orange County star, 36, captioned the video, which showed a lit fireplace and stockings hanging from the mantle, with: ‘Four days ago this space was empty but today it’s home sweet home.

‘I feel so cozy, so safe, and so happy. Merry Christmas,’ she continued.

She then added a parenthetical meant for her two youngest kids: ‘(Ya sorry about the stockings, Hayes and Hart. It’s been 2 Christmases and still no embroidery on their stockings. 2020 won’t be the year it happens either. Not biting off more than I can chew, folks, my mouth is already full.)’

And the day prior, the mother of three posted a snap showing her standing in an empty room in her now former home.

‘I cried as I left my beautiful former home of 6 1/2 years and thanked it for all the lovely memories as I walked through each room,’ she wrote in the caption, adding ‘bringing home all 3 of my babies here, having some GREAT laughs with friends, hosting my family for holidays.

‘But the era has ended and now it’s time for this mama to shine – solo. May only happiness and joy exude from my new house and may my old house be purchased by a family who will love it as much as I did. Onward and upward!’ she concluded.

Meghan’s posts come after husband Jim, 50, took to social media on Thursday to vent about the mess he implied his estranged wife left behind in the St. Louis abode they once shared with their family.

The former MLB All-star said on ‘Today’s the big day. I got my house back. Tenants moved out, and I get to clean it up and put it up for sale. Hopefully somebody cleaned it up a little bit, but we will see.’

Edmonds, who played for the Los Angeles Angels and St. Louis Cardinals in the prime of his career, had an irritated tone to more than 166,000 followers as he surveyed the wreckage left behind after Meghan moved out.

‘Not used to this landlord stuff here … I didn’t realize that someone would leave a house this dirty and messy,’ he said.

Edmonds, who is currently in a romance with model Kortnie O’Connor, said he had ‘four people in here throwing trash away that was just left behind.’

The retired slugger also complained that the toilet was not properly cleaned ahead of his arrival.

‘I’m going through an emotionally heavy transition, and I’m choosing to only look for the positive because the negative is too much for me to take on right now,’ said mom-of-three, to Aspen, four, and twin sons Hayes and Hart, two, with the ballplayer.

Edmonds had moved out of the home in November 2019 after he filed for divorce from the Bravo beauty.

The pair share daughter Aspen, four, and twin boys Hayes and Hart, two.

An insider told Us Weekly, ‘It took close to a year to get Meghan to finally leave the house so Jim could put it up for sale, and when she finally did vacate, she left the place looking like a pigsty.

‘There was garbage everywhere and everything was dirty. In addition, she removed community property from the house without asking.’

A separate source said Edmonds sabotaged King’s efforts to have a professional cleaner in changing the security entrance code to the home.

‘Meghan then arranged for the cleaner to return at 1 p.m. (in fact, she’s still there cleaning now), and Meghan communicated this information to Jim this morning,’ the source said, noting that Edmonds shouldn’t be ‘attempting to humiliate his soon-to-be ex-wife by showing her toilet on Instagram.’
