Vampire Diaries star Candice King announces the arrival of her second daughter with husband Joe
Candice and Joe King welcomed a beautiful baby girl to the world on December 1.
Both the actress and the musician took to their Instagram pages on Thursday to reveal the news of their daughter Josephine’s arrival.
‘Last week our baby girl flew into the world and into our hearts. We love you Josephine June King! 12/1/20,’ The Vampire Diaries star, 33, captioned an adorable photo of Josephine’s hand wrapped around her mother’s thumb.

This is the second daughter for the couple. They also have a four-year-old daughter Florence May, and Joe also has two girls, Elise and Ava, from his first marriage that ended in divorce in 2011.
‘It is now one of the best years of my life, truly grateful to welcome our Josephine June King, born Dec 1st, 2020,’ the guitarist for the rock group The Frays shared in his Instagram post.
‘I’m also very proud she looks just like her momma @candiceking who is a warrior woman goddess, I’m lucky to create this perfect love with you.’
The 40-year-old dad’s photo shows Josephine being cradled by her mother while dressed in a pink onesie.

The Texas native shared her pregnancy news in August during an appearance on the Directionally Challenged podcast, which she co-hosts with her Vampire Diaries co-star Kayla Ewell.
‘Something I have not shared yet on this podcast is that I’m actually pregnant. I’ve got a bun in the oven,” Candice shared at the time.
‘I’m a little over five months, so it’s been the entirety of the whole quarantine experience and everything that 2020 has brought us this year. And it’s been a journey, to say the least.’
She went on to give periodic updates about her pregnancy to her 8.3 million Instagram fans and followers through last last month.

In an essay for SheKnows in October, The Originals actress shared about being pregnant during the COVID-19 pandemic.
‘My first pregnancy did nothing to prepare me for being pregnant in 2020,’ Candice said before revealing a silver lining to these uncertain times.
‘But being pregnant in 2020 has undoubtedly prepared me to become a better mother.’
The couple got married in 2014, three years after they first met, and one year after the actress starred in The Fray’s music video for Love Don’t Die.
