Sharon Stone ensured safety came first on Thursday afternoon as she ventured out in COVID-stricken Los Angeles wearing a protective mask.

Sporting a classic white T-shirt above slim fit jeans, Sharon looked typically stylish as she visited a local sunglasses store.

She added to her look with an elegant camel coat, while a pair of comfortable looking white shoes rounded things off.

Sharon was stepping out as California continues to reel from the effects of COVID-19, with Tuesday recording its highest daily death toll yet after a further 219 people lost their lives to the potentially deadly virus.

Mire than 8,000 people within the Los Angeles area have lost their lives to the virus  since the disease entered the United States earlier this year.

Sharon has previously shared photos of herself wearing face masks and has urged her followers to stay at home in order to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

In October she made a political statement as she posted an open letter to the ‘women of Florida’, encouraging them to vote Joe Biden for president.

She wrote: ‘Dear Women of Florida, Hi! I’ve come to visit your state since I as a teenager, the sun, the music!!, the Keys!, I made the Specialist there. I raised money for battered women there.

‘What I know about you; you’re resilient, brave, fun, smart and yes you are sexy if I can be so bold.

‘Your Covid numbers are scaring me, because I’m a long time infectious disease worker; I helped your familiars and friends w HIV/AIDS & I will be there to help you recover from this.

‘As a mom, a woman, & someone who SEES you, I urge you to believe me when I say Trust is why voting for a woman in the White House will save your families lives. VOTE #BIDENHARRIS to live.’
