Married At First Sight‘s Stacey Hampton has been mercilessly mocked for referring to trousers as ‘long sleeve pants’ in a sponsored Instagram post on Wednesday. 

The 27-year-old, who is a qualified lawyer, was attempting to spruik items from a fashion brand when she momentarily forgot the correct terminology for ankle-length trousers. 

‘Alright guys, so this is the first set. It’s the cloud ribbed set,’ Stacey told the camera as she twirled around her living room.

‘So I’ve got the shirt, and I’ve got the long-sleeved pants. And as you can see, they fit so nicely,’ she said, turning her back to the camera to show off her rear.   

Comedy Instagram account Celeb Spellcheck promptly reposted the video alongside a tongue-in-cheek caption that read: ‘That’s a bit misleeving’. 

The post received an avalanche of comments from fans poking fun at Stacey’s mistake.

In April, Stacey signed to modelling and social media influencer agency Neon Model Management, after abandoning her dream of becoming a lawyer. 

At the time, Stacey also said she wanted to use her 15 minutes of fame for good. 

‘I want to do something with my platform, I don’t want to just sell teeth whitening stuff,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

Stacey has since launched a postnatal depression charity called Not Alone, Always Here Inc.  

The blonde became a Bachelor of Law in 2017 from the University of South Australia as well as a graduate diploma in legal practice from The College of Law. 

In 2019, Stacey shared a picture proudly holding her legal admissions certificate on the steps of the Supreme Court of South Australia.

‘What if I told you, you can do anything you put your mind too [sic]? Success is something you gain when you decide you can’t fail,’ she captioned the picture.
