Producers on the MTV show were reportedly keen to head to a location such as Colorado or Montana and film the new season of the show in one house where the entire cast would stay in a quarantine bubble but the 37-year-old star would not agree, sources told TMZ in October.
The star even offered to wait to shoot in LA until there was a vaccine for COVID-19.
According to the outlet, production on season two began in Los Angeles.

The Bachelorette for example has been filming its upcoming season in an out-of-town quarantine bubble at the La Quinta Resort in rural California.
Jersey Shore: Family Vacation and Big Brother also isolated its cast in a single house in order to safely film in the pandemic.
The insiders said that Brody’s representatives began discussions with the network early in August and insisted he would only film in LA.
Brody is claimed to have felt this way because the show’s entire premise is based around the cast’s lives in the city, not in a random location elsewhere in America.

MTV continued asking Brody to change his mind, it was claimed. The network then decided to shoot in Los Angeles, TMZ’s sources stated.
According to the outlet, production on season two is now set to pick up again within the next two to four weeks in Los Angeles.

Although the son of Caitlyn Jenner has reportedly not officially signed is contract for the season, he is expected to do so soon.
If Brody does agree to appear in the new season, it could show him looking for love as last month his three-month relationship with Briana Jungwirth ended.
Briana has four-year-old son Freddie with One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson.
According to TMZ the pair decided to go their separate ways after the ‘romance fizzled out’ between them, which is believed to be down to things ‘getting too serious too fast.’
This comes before news that Rod Stewart’s son Sean Stewart will be appearing in season two of The Hills reboot.
Sean, 40, began dating show star Audrina Patridge, 35, earlier this year, and has now begun filming episodes of The Hills: New Beginnings with her, according to Page Six.
Despite making appearances, sources have told the site he is not an official cast member.
Interestingly it was Audrina’s Hills connection that brought her and Sean together, according to Page Six.
