The suspect opened fire on the two staff members who were able to trip emergency security devices.

The staff members retreated from the front counter leaving the man on his own in the shop.

The footage showed the man attempting to escape from the shop which locked down as a result of the alert.

The criminal attempted the door several times before reloading his small silver pistol, pointing the weapon at the lock and firing several more rounds.

It is believed the suspect managed to escape before police arrived at the scene.

The store did not have a smoke system or emergency metal shutters which deploy in seconds to prevent a raider from escaping and protect members of staff.

It is not known whether either of the staff members were injured by the gunman.
