Leighton Meester defies the winter chill as she hits the waves for a leggy surfing session in Malibu… after welcoming second child
Christmas may be just around the corner.
But Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester did not let the wintertime chill deter her from hitting the waves in Malibu this week.
The 34-year-old, who gave birth a few months ago, slipped her enviably trim post-baby body into a black wetsuit and accessorized with a hat.

She hopped aboard her surfboard and could be seen lying across it on her stomach as she rode a cresting wave toward the show.
Leighton appeared to be thoroughly enjoying her day out at the beach as she could be glimpsed beaming whilst carrying her board across the sand.
Once off the beach she threw a leggy red shirt-dress over her outfit and held her surfboard over her head as she walked to her car.
Back in September it emerged that the TV siren and her husband Adam Brody have welcomed a baby son into their lives.

Leighton and Adam, who married in secret in 2014 after a relationship neither had discussed in public, also have a five-year-old daughter called Arlo.
News of her second pregnancy went public in March when she was spotted out and about with a visible baby bump.
Then in September on a Twitch show called The Fun Time Boys Game Night Spectacular Adam confirmed that they had welcomed ‘a dream boy.’

They met on set of their 2010 movie The Oranges and also could be seen in the film Life Partners the year of their wedding.
Adam also had a guest shot on Leighton’s ABC sitcom Single Parents which was canceled earlier this year after two seasons.
Leighton revealed to Shape last year that Adam had introduced her to surfing, which then became her principal way to work out.
‘My husband also taught me how to surf, and in the last year, I got really into it,’ she shared with the magazine which she also covered.

‘For the last six months, surfing has pretty much been my main form of exercise,’ said Leighton, who shot to fame on Gossip Girl.
‘I have found that when I don’t have a physical result in mind when I’m exercising – it’s not just about getting sore or getting abs or burning fat – I feel much more confident. I’m working on a skill, and that is so fulfilling to me.’
The Forth Worth-born actress added: ‘Plus, being in the ocean is such a spiritual experience that you forget you’re getting a real workout.’
