Addison Rae and her co-lead Tanner Buchanan seen for first time shooting scenes for He’s All That

Production commenced in mid-November on the upcoming gender-swapped She’s All That remake He’s All That.

And Addison Rae and her co-lead Tanner Buchanan, 22, were spotted for the first time shooting scenes for the rom-com in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old TikTok sensation had her lengthy brunette hair styled into uniform curls and she kept her mouth and nose covered with a mask.

She only removed her mask from her face to either have her makeup touched up or to act out scenes for the forthcoming film.

Rae’s extensive glam team not only wore masks as they applied rouge and lip gloss to the star, but they also donned plastic face shields.

The only person in close proximity to the social media star that was without some element of COVID-19 related protection was Buchanan.

The Cobra Kai actor, breathing freely, had his brunette hair softly slicked back with gel and he wore a plain grey t-shirt.

Tanner had to briefly roll up on sleeve of his tee as a production assistant applied what looked like a bandaid to his arm. 

Fans got a glimpse of one of the many outfits Addison is set to wear in the teen flick, which happened to be a stunning flapper-inspired mini dress.

The ivory toned dress was paired with some black mary jane heels and a long patterned shall. 

Since they started shooting the film in Los Angeles last month, Addison and Tanner have quickly become close friends.

Being that it was the actor’s birthday on Tuesday, Rae made sure to pay tribute to him on Instagram.

‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY @tannerbuchananofficial,’ captioned Addison, who included a snapshot of herself and Tanner being carted around on a golf cart.

The co-stars both had on pairs of blue jeans and matching riding boots as they flashes peace signs at the camera.

Aside from her birthday post for Tanner, Addison also used her Instagram Story to tout a ‘limited edition’ hoodie her brand Item Beauty recently launched.

Earlier in the day, Rae’s BFF Kourtney Kardashian revealed that she would be joining the forthcoming She’s All That remake, in a Tuesday Instagram post.

Sharing an image of herself apparently reading a script, the 41-year-old reality TV star captioned the post, ‘studying @hesallthatmovie’.

Kourtney was dressed to the nines as she learned her lines, with the petite brunette draping herself across the bed in a black and tan min-skirt, as well as a cleavage baring open jacket.

On her feet she wore knee high black boots from sister Khloe’s new Good American footwear line.  

And the film’s Instagram account seemed to verify the eldest Kardashian’s claim, by reposting her post in an Instagram Story, along with the caption, ‘Introducing Jessica Miles Torres’.

Rae herself also appeared to confirm the casting when she reposted the image along with the caption ‘work partner’. 

It’s unclear what role the mother-of-three might play in the film. 

Kourtney recently played herself in the FXX comedy series Dave, and in 2011 played a thinly-veiled version of herself -called Kassandra Kavanaugh- in soap opera One Life to Live. 

Brunette beauty Addison will play the lead part in the remake of the 1999 film She’s All That, according to a September report from Variety.

Rae was a dancer before landing massive fame on TikTok with almost 60M followers; she is one of the highest-paid performers on the platform. Her fame got another boost when she was taken under the Kardashian wing this summer. 

Rae is not taking on the role played by played by Rachel Leigh Cook in the original romantic comedy.

Instead, she will take on the role played by Freddie Prinze Jr because the movie will be about a woman tries to make over a man (played by Tanner Buchanan) in a Pygmalian storyline.

The new title of the movie will be He’s All That.

It has been over 20 years since the classic Nineties romantic comedy made a splash at the box office. 

The film also starred Paul Walker, and Anna Paquin as well as Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, and Kieran Culkin with cameos from Usher, Lil’ Kim and Gabrielle Union.

She’s All That follows the story of a high school jock Zack Siler (Freddie) who makes a bet with his pals that he can turn an artsy loner Laney Boggs (Rachel) into the prom queen.

He and fellow jock Dean Sampson (Paul) battle for Laney’s attention throughout the film, before she inevitably chooses just one of them.

The hit teen comedy grossed more than $100 million worldwide, and the modern take is set to follow a similar premise.
