Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello are loved-up in The Christmas Song music video

Shawn Mendes, 22, and girlfriend Camila Cabello, 23, recently released their duet cover of the classic holiday hit The Christmas Song. 

And on Monday, the couple gave fans an inside look at their loved-up Christmas antics in the song’s official music video.

The home movie-style video commences with a clip Shawn captured of Camila sitting in an office chair, while loving up on their adorable Labrador puppy Tarzan.

Camila allows the pup to plant a few kisses on her nose, before picking him up and placing him in the crook of her arm.

Mendes, who turns the camera on himself, has on a pair of large headphones and is seated in front of a professional recording set-up. 

The next clip, in the seemingly endless compilation of sweet moments, shows Camila and Shawn enjoying a smile-filled dance under an array of illuminated string lights.

Showing off his moves, Shawn expertly twirls his 5foot2inch girlfriend, before dipping her low to the ground.

A slew of silly moments featuring Camila, including one involving an awesome Grinch-themed coffee mug, play out on screen.

Back under the picturesque arrangement of twinkle lights, Shawn towers over Camila as they stare into the camcorder.

The pair, who recorded their take on the Christmas classic in their Florida home, included a ton of footage from the recording session.

One sweet moment showed Camila tenderly kissing Shawn’s head as he smirked sweetly in the camera’s direction.

Next, fans got a more in depth glimpse at Camila’s recording time as her portion of the song played along to the footage.

The former member of Fifth Harmony had her wavy, raven hair tied back into a romantic bun and she rocked a Christmas-appropriate ensemble complete with a bright red tank top and a knit cardigan.

Gathered around an outdoor fire pit and surrounded by palm trees, the couple were filmed sharing a kiss as they cuddled with one another and visited with family.

Clearly obsessed with the new puppy in their life, Shawn and Camila included plenty of clips of Tarzan in the three-minute and 14-second music video.

One noteworthy moment occurred nearly half way through the music video, which showed Shawn secretly filming Camila singing.

Opening her eyes after belting out a note, Camila catches Shawn and they both erupt with laughter.

A series of follow-up clips showed Shawn and Camila decorating a Christmas tree with the help of the Stitches singer’s parents.

Shawn wraps a roll of ribbon around the tree, while Camila films the various pup galavanting around the spacious home. 

With COVID-19 keeping the pair from most of their loved ones, they made sure to include a brief video taken during a massive Zoom call they were a part of.

For the song’s bridge, numerous clips of Camila and Shawn gawking over one another flashed on screen.

One of the clips showed Camila miming the words to the track in the background as Shawn passionately recorded one of his portions. 

Confirming his heartthrob status, Shawn graced the screen in a white tank top as he cradled the couple’s puppy in his arms.

Camila, holding the camera in selfie mode, had one arm on her boyfriend and continued to mime her portion of the holiday hit.

Taking a seat of Mendes’ lap, the brunette beauty and her beau utter the song’s final lines and share a passionate kiss.

They closed out the undeniably love-filled music video with a clip of Tarzan napping in front of their fireplace. 

Following the video’s release on Monday night, Camila took to Instagram to wish her 51million followers a ‘Merry Christmas.’

‘Merry christmas to you and yours #TheChristmasSong video out now. Shot by us, directed by Tarzan from our lil bubble,’ the Senorita songstress began.

She noted that ‘every stream’ of her and Shawn’s The Christmas Song cover ‘supports those in need through @feedingamerica.’  

‘All streams will support those in need right now, and to kick this off, we are donating $100K to Feeding America! We love you all so much and hope you get to enjoy this song over a very safe and merry holiday!’  

Camila and Shawn, who have been friends since 2014, have been dating since July of 2019.
