And Martin Clunes was seen getting to work on set of the second series of ITV’s Manhunt in Bristol, as he filmed new scenes for the drama on Monday.

The actor, 59, transformed into his character DCI Colin Sutton as he wore a teal rain coat over a cornflower blue button-up shirt.

Martin wrapped up warm in a grey V-neck jumper, while he complemented his smart get-up by accessorising with a blue-and-white striped tie.

The TV star also sported dark grey trousers and black shoes as he stepped out to film alongside Broadchurch star Matthew Gravelle.

Martin and Matthew were seen filming tense scenes as they chatted together in a park while extras dressed as a forensic team probed the ground behind them.

ITV show Manhunt focuses on the probe into the murder of 22-year-old Amelie Delagrange in 2004 and sees Clunes star as a Metropolitan Police detective.

Levi Bellfield was jailed in 2008 for Ms Delagrange’s murder and the 2003 murder of Marsha McDonnell, 19, after the two were linked.

He was later convicted of murdering 13-year-old Milly Dowler in 2002 and is serving a whole life prison sentence.

The show received criticism during the first series as the crew filmed at the bus stop where Dowler was last seen alive.

Television bosses were criticised for ‘insensitively’ using the location in Walton-on-Thames where the 13-year-old was snatched by killer Bellfield.

The broadcaster defended the programme at the time, claiming it only refers to Milly’s death and is actually about the investigation into Bellfield’s murder of Miss Delagrange.

The show later filmed at the exact spot where Ms Delagrange, a French student, was murdered as Martin was pictured on location at Twickenham Green.

The first series, which consisted of three episodes, received positive reviews from critics and won two BAFTA Cymru awards.
