The moment former Bachelor Matty Johnson realises his 15 minutes fame is over

He found love with Laura Byrne on the fifth season of The Bachelor in July 2017.

But more than three years on from starring on the dating series, Matty ‘J’ Johnson’s fame appears to be up after finding his cardboard cut-out in the trash.

‘When you know your 15 min has run out,’ the 34-year-old joked on a hilarious post on his Instagram Stories on Saturday.

In the picture, the bouquet holding, suit wearing cut-out of Matty J can be seen peeping out the top of the commercial-grade dumpster.

It is positioned upright, with The Bachelor’s signage on show, and it appears to be placed among large slates of wood.

The hilarious sight comes as he and fiancé Laura eagerly await the birth of their second child, who will be the younger sibling to one-year-old Marlie Mae.

Laura revealed on Friday she thought she was going into labour days earlier, but realised it was a false alarm. 

‘I was 100 per cent I was going into labour. This isn’t my first rodeo, it’s not like this is the first time I’ve been pregnant,’ she said on the Life Uncut podcast.

‘It wasn’t just weird cramps, I was getting proper really painful contractions but it all subsided after three hours. It was all very intense. 

Laura added she was due to give birth to her second child in 10 weeks and explained ‘everything hurts a little bit more during this pregnancy’. 

She announced she was expecting her second child with Matty J in September, who now works as a radio host for Nova FM’s Matt, Sarah and Matty J show. 

‘I recon [sic] we’ve kept this little beach ball under wraps for long enough… Half way to number 2,’ Laura wrote on Instagram.

She added: ‘A big shout out to @matthewdavidjohnson for his contribution’.
