This is the shocking moment a fireworks factory caught fire in Russia, setting off a mass explosion of fireworks into the night sky.
The wildly dangerous display happened in the port city of Rostov-on-Don, in southern Russia, in the early hours of the morning of December 6.
Footage from the blast shows colourful scenes at the trade pavilion as fireworks are set off uncontrollably in all directions.

The clip shows a chaotic explosion of pink, green, red and gold sparklers, rockets and firecrackers that lasts for several minutes.
Onlookers are first seen watching and then running away from the unruly explosions that were firing in all directions.
Below the fireworks display in the sky, the pavilion is seen engulfed in flames as emergency services fought to get the fire under control.

Over 400 firefighters were needed to tackle the blaze, from three fire crews – Novocherkassk, Aksai and Rostov – as fire brigades from surrounding areas were drafted in to help.
According to local reports, the fire is reported to have been started at a market by a faulty electric heater at 6.30am, Moscow time.
It then spread to the two-story pavilion which stored fireworks, and was reportedly fully stocked in preparation for New Years celebrations in three weeks.

The incident was caught on camera by the local emergency department and posted online by Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.
There were no casualties from the blaze as it happened in the early hours of the morning when the market was empty.
However, significant damage was done to buildings as flames were measured to have spread across 4,000 square metres.
