Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore tease FOURTH movie at 2020 MTV Movie & TV Awards

Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore have made one movie together in each of the last three decades, a tradition that seemingly will continue in the 2020s.

Sandler, 54, and Barrymore, 45, starred together in 1998’s The Wedding Singer, 2003’s 50 First Dates and 2014’s Blended, which earned them the distinction of GOAT Dynamic Duo at the 2020 MTV Movie & TV Awards: Greatest of All Time.

The beloved actors accepted their award through video conferencing, as they both teased another movie collaboration.

During their speech, Barrymore said, ‘It was so much fun to make a movie with you in every of the last three decades.

Sandler added, ‘Yes, yes, and Drew, it’s 2020 so you know what that means…’ , as Drew joked, ‘Everything sucks?’

‘Yeah, that’s true, but also, it’s a new decade so we get to make another movie together,’ Adam said, which lead the crowd to applaud.

‘Right, well let’s wait until we find something amazing, we do have 10 years,’ though Sandler corrected her, adding, ‘Nine years and one month.’

‘You’re right. Well, that’s not enough time. I don’t know, it doesn’t matter — it has to be special,’ Barrymore added.

The duo’s last movie Blended came out the same year that Sandler signed his new overall deal with Netflix, with most of his movies since debuting exclusively on the streaming service.

He has also made movies outside of his Netflix deal, starring in writer-director Noah Baumbach’s The Meyerowitz Stories in 2017.

Sandler also returned to voice his beloved Dracula character in 2018’s Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation for Sony Pictures Animation.

Most recently, Sandler starred in the critically-acclaimed A24 drama Uncut Gems, which earned him an Independent Spirit Award for Best Actor.

Barrymore also has ties to Netflix, starring in Santa Clarita Diet with Timothy Olyphant, which lasted three seasons between 2017 and 2019.

She also stars in The Stand-In with T.J Miller, Ellie Kemper and Lena Dunham, which is slated for release on December 11.

The actress also just recently launched her new talk show The Drew Barrymore Show, which debuted back in September, with Sandler as one of her first guests.
