Phoebe Burgess recovers from day surgery for chronic back pain

Phoebe Burgess has previously spoken about her battle with chronic back pain, that all began with a skiing accident in 2012 that ‘changed her spine forever’.

On Sunday, the 31-year-old told Instagram fans that she was ‘sneaking in some major rest and recovery’ at her family’s Bowral estate, following day surgery.

The former NRL WAG posted a photo of herself in a hospital gown to her Stories, prior to a procedure on Saturday to help gain relief from her muscle spasms.

After returning from hospital, Phoebe shared a photo to Instagram on Sunday of herself posing in front of a mirror at the family home, in a blue and white striped blouse and white trousers.

Remaining upbeat, the mother-of-two wrote in the caption: ‘It’s day two following yet another procedure to get some relief from the muscle spasms associated with spinal injuries (in time for the heavy lifting of holiday season).’

Referencing her mother Sarah Hooke’s lavish floral decorations, she continued: ‘Thought I’d share mum’s roses brightening up the view on my camera roll while I sneak in some major rest and recover.’
