Kate Moss was 'so starstruck' when she met Frank Sinatra 25 years ago she FAINTED - Money

Kate Moss has admitted the most ‘starstruck’ she has ever been was when she met Frank Sinatra 25 years ago.

The supermodel, 46, was 21 at the time and dating Hollywood actor Johnny Depp.

Kate was at a birthday party for Frank – who died, aged 82, in 1998.

Kate told Vogue TV: ‘The most starstruck I’ve been is when I met Frank Sinatra — and then I fainted!

‘There was still a twinkle in his blue eyes. Yeah, major. I was sitting down having a cigarette and he spotted me and made a beeline to me.

He got all of his security to close in so Johnny couldn’t get to me. So we were encircled and he’s like, “How are you doing, little lady?” and I said, “Happy birthday, Frank,” and he just lunged for me.

‘He kissed me on the lips, then gave me a filterless cigarette. I came off all light-headed. He was fabulous.’

Kate appears on the January 2021 cover issue of Vogue, and gushed about her daughter Lila Grace, 18, in her accompanying interview.

She took part in a question and answer session with a variety of stars when her daughter chimed in and asked what was her favourite thing to do when she had a day off work.

Sharing her delight over the message, Kate said: ‘I like having a hot bath and getting into bed for a cuddle with you if you are available.’

Italian fashion designer Stefano Pilati then asked how she felt about Lila’s catwalk debut, which she made with Miu Miu in October.

Admitting she got ‘so emotional’, Kate gushed: ‘Yea it was so emotional seeing Lila on the runway, it wasn’t emotional I was really nervous for her.

‘I was sitting on the kitchen table and Katie England was there and Rosemary, and other girlfriends, and we were waiting for the show to start on the link, and when she came out we were like [gasp] she’s doing it, she’s doing it! I was so proud.’

Fashion designer Silvia Venturini Fendi also asked her which items in her archive would be passed down Lila, and Kate said her daughter had already started taking her clothes.

Elton John also took the time to send a question to Kate, and asked her to divulge what ‘p****s her off’ the most in life, which the model claimed was ‘litterbugs.’

Kate shares her daughter with ex-boyfriend Jefferson Hack, and she has been in a relationship with Count Nikolai Von Bismarck since 2015.

Kate first hit the runway at the same age as her mini-me in 1992, after being scouted as a 14-year-old in 1988 at JFK Airport in New York.

The fashion icon first walked for Dolce & Gabbana in their spring show, in a blue brocade suit teamed with a matching wide-brimmed hat.

The Vogue coverstar became a stalwart on the runway during the nineties and regularly appeared for big name designers including Prada, Tommy Hilfiger and Stella McCartney.

Fashionistas are reportedly suggesting that Kate is masterminding her daughter’s style and her fledgling career, according to the Mail On Sunday.

Industry sources reported that Kate’s priorities have shifted from her own career to launching her only daughter onto the fashion scene.

Lila is the principal client at the Kate Moss Agency, which also boasts singer Rita Ora and Game Of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie.
