Shane Warne auctions off his Brighton home for a whopping $5.65M

Shane Warne auctioned off his Brighton, Victoria home on Saturday, with bidding reaching a whopping $5.65 million. 

However the property was passed in when it failed to reach the guide price – with the cricketer setting the guide price at of $5.8 million to $6.38 million. 

According to Domain, the auction, was held outdoors next to the swimming pool and the opening bid was  $5.5 million.

Agent Jonathan Dixon of JP Dixon Real Estate told the website that he hopes a sale made be made in the afternoon despite the early result. 

Despite a handful of famous faces at the auction, those most interested in the property were ‘local people’ he went on to say. 

Shane was not seen outside the property however was spotted peeking through the curtains.
