Britain’s biggest ever EuroMillions jackpot worth £175million is STILL up for grabs

Britain’s biggest ever EuroMillions jackpot worth £175million is STILL up for grabs after no one scooped top prize in latest draw

  • One player could become Britain’s biggest ever winner if they take home £175m
  • Massive sum could make a winner richer than Adele, whose net worth is £150m
  • The total would surpass that of the previous top winner who bagged £170million

The largest ever EuroMillions jackpot, worth an estimated £175million, is still up for grabs after no one scooped-up the top prize in last night’s draw.

The jackpot has now reached its cap, meaning any prizes in the next winning tier will be boosted for the next draw on Tuesday.

If one player takes home the entire £175million they will set a new National Lottery record and become the UK’s biggest ever winner. The total would surpass that of the previous, anonymous, top winner by £5million.

The enormous sum could make one Briton richer than Adele – whose net worth is £150million – and will bring them near to Ed Sheeran, who sits at £200million. Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne are also worth £150million.

The amount would also make a winner more than twice as rich as Kylie Minogue (£74million) and nearly as well-off as Robbie Williams (£223million).

The total would surpass that of the previous top winner who bagged £170million. That winner’s name has never been revealed.

Andy Carter, Camelot’s senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, said: ‘It’s still all to play for on Tuesday night when the whopping EuroMillions jackpot of an estimated £175million remains up for grabs.

The sum would also bring the winner near to Ed Sheeran, who sits at a cool £200million

‘Players are urged to buy their tickets early online via the National Lottery app or website, or in their local shop, to be in with a chance of winning this massive prize.’

The EuroMillions jackpot is capped once it reaches 200million euros – and once that total is reached it stays in place for another four days until a special ‘must be won’ draw.

Up to £800million has been raised by players of the National Lottery this year, which has been used by charities and organisations affected by the impact of the coronavirus crisis.

An average of £30million is raised every week for National Lottery Good Causes across the UK. Players who want to be in with a chance of bagging Friday’s enormous jackpot are advised to get their tickets well before the 7.30pm cut-off point.

Europe’s biggest-ever lottery winners – who have revealed their identity to the public – are Colin and Chris Weir who, in July 2011, bagged the £161million jackpot.

The couple – a retired TV cameraman and a retired psychiatric nurse – sadly divorced in 2019, after 38 years of marriage.

Yesterday’s EuroMillions numbers were: 14, 38, 20, 27, 34.

The Lucky Stars were: 01 and 11. Tonight’s National Lottery Thunderball winning numbers were 07, 14, 19, 25, 34, and the Thunderball was 07.
