Vicky Pattison jokes ‘every Love Islander has relocated to Dubai’

Vicky Pattison has joked she is ‘too pale and squishy to be in a bikini’ after indulging in ‘cheese boards and Bailey’s’ since late November.

The reality star, 33, told MailOnline she isn’t in any hurry to show off her body after seeing the likes of Love Islander Maura Higgins, 30, flaunt her figure while holidaying in Dubai.

In an exclusive interview, Vicky joked that ‘it feels like the entirety of the UK’s influencers’ have relocated this winter – despite current advise against overseas travel to a vast amount of countries.

She said: ‘I did a post a couple of weeks ago and I was laughing, I said “am I the only person who isn’t in Dubai?”

‘It feels like the entirety of the UK’s influencers and bloggers and Love Islanders has moved sticks.

‘I am not in any hurry to get in a bikini before Christmas. I start eating cheese boards and drinking Bailey’s in late November so there’s no chance now I will be in a bikini. I am way too pale and squishy to be in a bikini.’

Maura and boyfriend Chris Taylor, as well as their Love Island pals Danny Williams, Jordan Hames and Michael Griffiths, are all currently sunning themselves in Dubai.

Last month, Vicky shared a throwback image on Instagram of her in a bikini and shades, with the caption: ‘Am I the only person who isn’t in Dubai right now? Serious question.’

In defence of reality stars that have chosen to jet off in spite of the government’s advice, Vicky said: ‘I know there are people that will see it as inconsiderate but everyone’s realities are different.

‘If I were to say anything it would only be out of sheer jealousy, fair play to them.

‘I had work and responsibilities here so I couldn’t nip off. We’ve all had a rubbish year and plans ruined, if you can salvage a break then why not?’

Instead of focusing on her image, Vicky took some time to give back to charities and has now continued her work with Save The Children and Christmas Jumper Day, which will take place on Friday December 11.

The TV star is urging anyone possible to donate to the cause whether that be via a virtual quiz or in their social bubble, with the aim of making a difference to the world’s most vulnerable children in the UK and around the world.

Vicky said: ‘I have supported the Save the Children Christmas jumper campaign for some years now and I think the work they do is incredible.

‘Even before coronavirus hit there was 4million children living in poverty in the UK and that is not only food poverty but a lack of essential items and a lack of learning opportunities and since the virus, everything has been made much more difficult for absolutely everybody but we can’t ignore the people that were worse off to begin with.

‘The campaign includes emergency grants for families that have been impacted the most – the grants include early learning support, food vouchers, household products and across the board support.
