TOWIE’s Fran Parman details mental and physical struggles before her 2st weight loss

She recently lost two stone in weight after being trolled when she returned to TOWIE for a cameo appearance during the show’s 10th anniversary in August.

And Fran Parman has opened up about the ‘bad’ mental and physical place she was in before embarking on her health and fitness journey earlier this year.

The reality star, 29, admitted she has to ‘remind’ herself to be healthy so that she doesn’t slip back into old habits, saying: ‘I don’t want to put my mental state through that anymore.’

Explaining the struggle she faces, Fran shared a text from her gym alerting her that it was currently closed until further notice, and said:

‘So this morning I went to go to the gym and I remembered a text I got last night, re read it this morning and was like, ah I haven’t got to go to the gym today, it’s the universe telling me not to train.

‘But that’s just myself setting up excuses for not wanting to go. I have to remind myself I don’t want to be unhealthy again as I was unhappy and I don’t want to put my mental state through that anymore.

‘Mentally and physically I wasn’t in a good place and thought it’s uncomfortable to remind yourself what you have put your own self through, remember how far you have come and we don’t want to look back, we want to continue this journey of happiness.

‘Nothing feels better than reaching your goals, so for anyone trying to make an excuse for not working out, remember how far you’ve come.’

Last month, Fran revealed she has lost two stone after ‘not realising’ how much weight she had put on before her TV appearance.

Fran, who joined the show briefly in 2014 and had a relationship with James ‘Diags’ Bennewith, said she was devastated when she received ‘nasty comments’.

Fran previously spoke of her weight loss and trolling in a candid interview with Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on their show, Access All Areas.

Fran explained how the trolling she received over her appearance tainted her return.

‘I thought, ‘yeah I’m going to be back with everyone. I can’t wait to see everyone’, she said.

‘And then all of a sudden that picture come up and I thought, ‘oh god I’ve put on a little bit of weight’.’

She continued: ‘I didn’t realise how much I’d put on because I was wearing so many baggy clothes. I looked at it, thought nothing of it. Then I see that there were so many comments, nasty comments.

I thought, ‘hang on a minute, I’ve only put on a little bit of weight. Why is it anyone’s business and why does everyone care so much?’

The reality star went on to add: ‘So what if I’ve put on a bit of weight. What’s the problem… It’s not okay to be like that to people.

‘It’s such a shame that we have to go through this. We’re nice people and we don’t deserve it. We do not deserve it.’

Despite the nasty comments she’s recently received, Fran was pleased to admit that she’s feeling happier and is ‘focussing on healing at the minute and being a better version of myself’.

She also revealed she’s lost a staggering amount of weight since filming her recent scenes for TOWIE: ‘I want to lose a little bit more weight. I’ve lost two stone now… If I’m determined and focussed and I want something, I’ll get it.’

The reality star confessed that she’s also ‘looking to do something to help people that struggle losing their weight that goes up and down.’

Having returned to our screens for her cameo this series, Bobby and Stephen were keen to find out whether she’d consider coming back full time again, to which she shared: ‘I’d like my girls to be there, and obviously you [Bobby}, I love being with you. Yeah I wouldn’t mind coming back. I did enjoy it. So if they asked or whatever then maybe I would. I don’t see why not.’

Despite speaking so positively, Fran did admit that she didn’t always have fond memories of being on the show: ‘I didn’t really click with the girls, I didn’t really get on with them.

‘So I found it quite hard to fit in to be honest. But I had a lovely time with Diags, it was a nice time with him. It was a lot of arguments all the time and I’m not always argumentative.’

Fran continued: ‘I was very, very grateful for the opportunity. Very, very grateful for it. And I was grateful to also be asked back. But I found it difficult fitting in with the girls to be totally honest.’
