Pregnant Laura Byrne ‘was convinced she was going into early labour’ when she ‘started having very painful contractions’

She is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her second child with fiancé Matty J Johnson.

And on Friday, pregnant Laura Byrne revealed she thought she was going into labour on Tuesday night but it was a false alarm. 

‘I was 100 per cent I was going into labour. This isn’t my first rodeo, it’s not like this is the first time I’ve been pregnant,’ the 31-year-old said on the Life Uncut podcast.

‘It wasn’t just weird cramps, I was getting proper really painful contractions but it all subsided after three hours. It was all very intense,’ she explained.

Laura went on to reveal she’s due to give birth to her second child in 10 weeks and explained ‘everything hurts a little bit more during this pregnancy’.

The Bachelor star surprised fans in September by announcing she was pregnant with her and Matty’s second child.

‘I recon [sic] we’ve kept this little beach ball under wraps for long enough… Half way to number 2,’ she wrote on Instagram.

She added: ‘A big shout out to @matthewdavidjohnson for his contribution’.

While the couple are waiting until the birth to know if they are having a boy or a girl, she recently shared her interesting theory about the gender of her unborn baby.

She explained during an Instagram Q&A that she was getting ‘boy vibes’.

‘I’m getting very strong boy vibes, which means absolutely nothing because I also got very strong boy vibes when I had Marlie Mae. So… it’s probably a girl.’

Matty and Laura fell in love on The Bachelor in 2017 and got engaged in April last year.

They welcomed their first child, daughter Marlie Mae Rose Johnson, in 2019.
