The Bachelorette beauty, 30, chat with Extra correspondent and show alum Rachel Lindsay on Wednesday to chat about how she’s flipped plans with the wedding, but it still remains on pace to happen.

The Dallas-born beauty said that she’s aiming to exchange vows next spring with her fiancé.

‘Our new day is May of next year, and who knows what the state of our country and this world will look like, and I’m hoping at that point we are able to celebrate,’ she said. ‘I think that Jordan and I have decided, like, if it’s not going to work out to have this huge, extravagant wedding that we really have dreamed up, we’ll still do it on our own, together.’

Fletcher noted the long amount of time she and Rodgers have been engaged, noting that they will eventually make it to the altar regardless of the pandemic-related delays.

‘Rachel, we’ve been engaged – it will be five years by our new wedding day,’ he said. ‘If we have to push it another year – six years, crazy – we will get married no matter what!’

Fletcher also commented that she ‘was totally thrown off’ when asked to substitute for host Chris Harrison on The Bachelorette, who had to quarantine per protocols for two weeks earlier this year after taking his son to college.

‘I was not expecting it, and honored that they thought of me to do this,’ she said. ‘It was so much fun … but I was nervous … when you go in as Chris, you know you have to deliver.’

Harrison dubbed Fletcher ‘a very good friend’ in addressing his absence to ET. ‘I did step away,’ Harrison said. ‘And I will just say a very good friend that I reached out to was nice enough to come in and help out just a little bit.’
