Chance the Rapper offers good news as he gives update on pal Jeremih’s hospital stint with COVID-19: ‘I am filled with praise’

Chance the Rapper has offered some good news about pal Jeremih, who’s been hospitalized with COVID-19.

The three-time Grammy winner took to Twitter with an update Thursday, revealing his friend and frequent collaborator is doing better.

He wrote: ‘I AM FILLED WITH PRAISE RIGHT NOW I JUST HEARD MY BROTHER JEREMIH’S VOICE ON THE PHONE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ALMOST A MONTH.

‘HE WILL BE OUT THE HOSPITAL TOMORROW WE GIVE ALL GLORY TO THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME.’

The 27-year-old also made sure to thank the frontline workers at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for taking such good care of his friend. 

He wrote in another tweet: ‘Thank you to the medical staff at northwestern and thank you to everyone who held him up in prayer even when it seemed so grim. We are a testimony.’

Chance previously took to Instagram to reveal that his and Jeremih’s track Are U Live from their self-released 2016 holiday mixtape Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama is finally coming to all platforms Friday.

He also teased the potential release of the full mixtape, writing: ‘FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! ARE U LIVE DROPS ON ALL PLATFORMS TONIGHT!! ITS HAPPENING DECEMBER IS THE MONTH! DROP A [Santa emoji] IF YOU NEED THE WHOLE PROJECT.’

It was revealed last month by TMZ that Jeremih, 33, was hospitalized in his hometown of Chicago with COVID-19, and his condition was ‘bleak’ after he was put on a ventilator.

Chance wrote on Twitter at the time: ‘Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now. I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him.’

50 Cent also showed his support on Instagram, writing: ‘Pray for my boy @jeremih he’s not doing good this covid s*** is real. He’s in ICU in Chicago.’

Jeremih’s agent later told Variety: ‘J was just pulled off the ventilator. He’s still in ICU in critical condition. Please keep him in your prayers.’
