Steve Bing’s estate is hit with $30M demand from charity

Steve Bing’s trust has been hit with a $30 million demand from a charity after the late multi-millionaire pledged the hefty amount to the organization in 2012, court documents exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com show.

Bing had made the commitment to the Motion Picture and Television Fund in September 2012, which was guaranteed to be binding upon Bing’s estate and payable after his death.

The 55-year-old died on June 22 after jumping from the 27th floor of his Los Angeles apartment, dying with an estimated net worth of $590 million.

But months after his death, it was revealed he owed American Express $100,000 in unpaid bills, as well as a $5,000 unpaid massage tab that he racked up in the week before he committed suicide.

His daughter Kira Kerkorian, with ex tennis pro Lisa Bonder, was recently granted special executor of his estate, which was valued at just $337,000 – although his properties were not included in that evaluation.

The charity’s demand, which was filed last month in Superior Court of California in Los Angeles, has to be addressed by Bing’s estate within 30 days, or it has the right to sue in civil court for the $30 million payout.

The potential lawsuit comes as Kira is also fighting a $7 million breach of contract lawsuit that was filed against Bing by entrepreneur Matthew Khoury in April.

The most recent court filing was made on November 25, and is seeking the original pledge of $30 million, plus interest and costs on recovering the money.

It reads: ‘Decedent did not make any payments in satisfaction of the $30,000,000 pledge during his lifetime.

‘Pursuant to the Agreement, it was Decedent’s ”intention that this pledge (i) will be payable not later than a reasonable period after my death; (ii) will be binding upon my estate; and (iii) will, to the extent that it remains unpaid as of the date of my death, be treated as a valid charge against my estate, in the event that either (a) my estate plan does not provide expressly for the payment of the unpaid balance of the pledge; or (b) I die intestate”.’

It adds: ‘Furthermore, Decedent ”acknowledge[d] that this is a debt”.’

The charitable organization also included Bing’s signed pledge agreement as evidence to its claim.

Before Kira was made administrator of Bing’s estate, the court also wanted her to get approval from the sole beneficiary of his estate, which was the Clinton Foundation.

She provided the court with a paternity test that showed ‘Stephen Bing (decedent) convincingly appears to be the biological father of Kira Rose Kerkorian.’

A chain of custody report, also obtained by DailyMail.com, revealed Bing’s DNA was taken from his body in the morgue – signaling Kira’s plans to contest the will.

The Hollywood movie investor, who received a $600 million inheritance from his grandfather when he turned 18, had a will drawn up in 2001 that disinherited any children he may have had.

But despite excluding Kira and his son Damian Hurley with British actress Elizabeth Hurley from his will, Bing later formed relationships with both Damian and Kira, even fighting for them to be included in their grandfather’s trust last year.

Bing was first revealed as Kira’s biological father in a legal dispute between tennis Bonder and her ex-husband, billionaire Kirk Kerkorian, who was led to believe Kira was his daughter.

The most recent legal challenge comes after DailyMail.com revealed last month that Bing forked out a daily $750 retainer to have masseuse Gina Pitrello on call from June 14 – June 20.

Professional masseuse Pitrello, 57, filed a creditor’s claim, claiming the Hollywood movie investor didn’t pay his $5,000 bill before he died.

In the claim Pitrello says Bing called her and complained of ‘headaches, insomnia, wrist problems, depression, and muscle aches’ and sought massages to treat his ailments.

It has been widely reported that Bing was suffering from depression which may have led to him jumping to his death.

Each massage session lasted between 90 minutes and two hours, but Pitrello added on the paperwork: ‘Some sessions may have been longer if client fell asleep on the table or we did extended breath work or meditation so client could rest.’

Multi-millionaire Bing would book a hotel room for the lengthy treatments rather than have Pitrello come to his upscale apartment.

Four of the unpaid massages took place at the swanky Beverly Hills Hotel, while the final three happened at magician’s hang out, the Magic Castle Hotel.

Since Bing’s death, reports have emerged revealing the film producer had been struggling with his mental health and depression and was drowning in debt before taking his own life.

DailyMail.com recently revealed that Bing owed Amex nearly $100,000 when he committed suicide.

Also Bing took his own life just days before the one-year anniversary of the death of his girlfriend Allexanne Mitchum, who died from a drug overdose.

He had been dating the 28-year-old actress after meeting her through her aunt and his friend, Carrie Mitchum, the granddaughter of Robert Mitchum.

He had been planning to have children with Allexanne before the pair got into an argument on June 26 and Bing told her to stay at a friend’s house.

About 24 hours later, Allexanne would suffer an overdose after taking a Xanax pill that had been laced with fentanyl. She was declared dead on July 3, 2019.

Friends later described how Bing had been wracked with guilt over her death and did not believe it was an accident.

In August 2019, about a month after her Allexanne’s death, Bing, who had a history of drug abuse and had been known to be very private, approached a close friend to help him commit suicide, according to reports.

The confidant, who had managed Bing’s finances, met him at the Beverly Hills Hotel where he managed to talk him out of it.

He described finding Bing in his bed with the curtains drawn and ‘feeling regretful’, after several days of drug use and managed to talk him around.
