Gal Gadot announces tickets are on sale for Wonder Woman 1984’s theatrical release: ‘I’m so thrilled and excited to share this with you’
Gal Gadot had a big announcement on Wednesday.
The Israeli born star shared that tickets are finally on sale for her film Wonder Woman 1984.
‘This is it, Wonder Woman 1984 is finally coming out!’ she said in an Instagram caption. ‘So if you have a CinemaSafe theater near you, you can get your tickets starting today!’

She added, ‘I’m so thrilled and excited to share this with you, and I can’t wait for you to finally see it ❤️.’
In her video, which was taken in a car, she also commented on the release date.
‘I am so excited the movie is finally coming out and to be able to share this beautiful message during this crazy time means a lot to me,’ she said adding that cinemas are doing all they can to make sure people are safe.
‘Enjoy a special cinema night,’ she added before blowing a kiss.

That same day Lynda Carter – who played Wonder Woman on TV – made a post to her Instagram account.
The caption for the image made note of the fact that the film will be given a dual release on December 25, as it will be available to stream on HBO Max, and it will also be able to be seen in theaters where physical attendance is allowed.
Carter, 69, previously portrayed Wonder Woman in the 1975-1979 television series, and continues to be identified strongly with the character.
In her post, she is seen picking up an antique phone featuring a model of her former character attached to the receiver.

Patty Jenkins, 49, directed the first Wonder Woman film, which was released in 2017 and grossed over $820 million at the box office.
And she is in charge of the second one too.
The film was initially set to release in December of 2019, and was moved up to the month prior to that before being pushed to June 2020 before being delayed due to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
That month, the film was delayed further to October, before finally being given a Christmas release date; it will also be released on January 2021 in territories where HBO Max is not available.

Development on the sequel began in 2017 shortly after the first film’s release, and was publicly confirmed at that year’s Comic-Con.
Deborah and Zack Snyder, who served as producers for the original film, returned for the sequel in the same capacity.
Principal photography for the project began in June of 2018, with shooting stretching out to December of that year; additional reshoots took place the following July and August.
Rumors of a third film in the series and a spinoff centered around the Amazons of Themyscira, who were featured in the original film, have been circulating in the press, with Jenkins confirming that stories for both are currently being mapped out.
