US records its biggest daily Covid death toll since the start of the pandemic with 2,473 fatalities

The US has reported its biggest daily Covid-19 death toll since the start of the pandemic.

The figures published by the Covid Tracking Project showed 2,473 deaths and 99,000 hospitalizations in their latest update.

There were also 1.3million tests carried out across the country with 177,000 cases, they announced.

The figures have been affected by the delay in reporting due to Thanksgiving.
