She let her choppy golden tresses fall in a tight wave around her face, revealing in a caption that she is currently braiding her locks as she has to wear a wig for her latest film.

Kristen confidently gushed that she loves the look of her curly mane when she removes the tight braids and asked her fans whether she ‘needs to get a perm’.

She penned: ‘I’m in a wig for my current movie. When I take my braided hair out at the end of the week, this is what I get. And I am INTO IT. Do I need to get a perm???

‘In addition, yes. I am slightly cross eyed. Always have been, always will be. G’NIGHT!’

The Frozen actress will soon appear on screens in Queenpins alongside Vince Vaughn, Paul Walter Hauser and Kirby Howell-Baptiste, her former The Good Place co-star.

The film was inspired by the true story of the US’s largest ever coupon counterfeit scam, centring on a suburban housewife who starts an illegal coupon club.

And Kristen is also set to reunite with her Frozen co-star Jonathan Groff in an upcoming original musical film, Molly And The Moon.

The musical comedy will be written and directed by How I Met Your Mother creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, Deadline reported last month.

But the film will also include dramatic elements inspired by Craig’s difficult experience as a new parent during the early years of CBS’s How I Met Your Mother.

The writer explained how he and his wife were expecting their first child, a boy named Elliot, when he and Carter were working as showrunners in seasons two and three of the hit series.

He told Deadline: ‘I was heading into parenthood and I figured everything was going according to the life script I imagined for myself.

‘I’m going to have this healthy, perfect kid and come back and keep running that show. Instead, life served up an enormous curveball to us.

‘We discovered after he was born that Elliot had Jacobsen Syndrome, a rare genetic deletion where a piece of one of the 11th chromosomes has broken off, resulting in the loss of certain genes that go into making a healthy, typical baby.’

He continued: ‘And what it meant for Elliot is that he had several heart defects and needed open-heart surgery at only two weeks old, and we did not see any of this coming.’

Thomas’ son weighed less than four pounds, which complicated his chances of survival.

The writer worried first that his son might not survive his intensive surgeries, and even if he did, he would be ‘a kid who was different, who might have lifelong health and developmental issues’.

But Elliot’s story has formed the basis for what would become Molly And The Moon, with the child’s journey home at the end of weeks in hospital cementing the idea.

In the film, the child inspired by Elliot has been renamed Molly Moon, and Kristen is set to play her mother Kate, while Jonathan will star as Molly’s father Brian.

Both have proven their singing skills in the two Frozen films, and Jonathan is also a Broadway star, best known for playing one of the lead roles in Spring Awakening and appearing as King George III in Hamilton, both earning him Tony nominations.

Kristen has been prolific in recent years, starring in Showtimes House Of Lies from 2012–2016 and the modern detective series Veronica Mars from 2004–2007.

She returned to playing the sleuth in a 2014 movie and a fourth and final season for Hulu in 2019.
