Brooklyn Beckham’s ex Hana Cross releases debut single Once Or Twice as she launches music career

She is most recognisable for her high-profile relationship with Brooklyn Beckham, which ended in August 2019 after nine months together.

Yet Hana Cross is embarking on an exciting new journey and has released her debut single Once Or Twice, as she launches a music career.

During lockdown, Hana decided to pile her focus into working on her music and has been collaborating with producer Matt Cardle and music exec Jamie Shepherd.

As well as perfecting her debut single, Hana has been working on a number of other tracks for her EP, which is expected to be released next year.

Speaking about her new single, Hana said: ‘I really hope people love the track as much as I’ve enjoyed making it. 

‘I’ve always had a passion for music and used to write song lyrics and poetry as a way of coping with the stress and anxiety that we all experience at times.

When the pandemic hit most of my modelling jobs were put on hold, giving me the time to pick up my guitar again and work on the songs that had been sat in the notes of my phone for the last couple of years.

‘Lockdown has been so difficult for everyone and writing has really helped me to stay positive and focused over the last few months.

‘Having to adapt to new ways of working to get the track finished has been a challenge. There have been plenty of Zoom sessions directly linked into the studio to try to keep the ball rolling, because a lot of the time I have had to work from home.

‘I have also been fortunate enough to have friends in the industry. This was one of the first songs I wrote during lockdown and Matt and Jamie who produced Once or twice really encouraged me and understood my vision for the song. 

‘I really wanted to keep the music as raw and true to me as possible, while also recognising my own growth since the song was first written. I’m so excited for everyone to hear my first single.’ 

It was reported in August that the influencer had started recording her debut album with savage lyrics believed to be about her ex – who is engaged to American actress Nicole Peltz, 25 – and their failed romance.

The website reports that in the track, Hana sings: ‘I wish that someone told me you had a habit for dishonesty . . . though you break my heart, I want to stay.

A source added to the publication: ‘She is still raw from her split with Brooklyn and it pains her to see him so happy. 

‘Her record has a few heartbreak songs and she isn’t afraid of expressing how she feels.

They added that it is best that Brooklyn ‘steers clear’ of the record when it comes out. 

In June last year, it was claimed David had told his son Brooklyn to distance himself from his girlfriend following a slew of public arguments between the pair, before they went their separate ways two months later.

Hana is a successful model and is signed by three different agencies; Select Model Management in the UK, US agency The Lions and French agency Premium Models.  

Brooklyn took to Instagram in July to announce his engagement to Nicola following reports he had popped the question to his ‘soulmate’ after just eight months of dating.

Sharing a stunning snap of the couple, he wrote ‘Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes xx. I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day. I love you baby xx.’
