Ryan Reynolds is back in his native Canada to shoot his new sci-fi film The Adam Project about a man who is forced to go back in time and reunite with his 13-year-old self.

The 44-year-old Deadpool actor was spotted on set of the Netflix flick on Monday as he filmed some scenes with his ‘younger’ self.

Suited up in costume with expertly coiffed hair, Reynolds looked every bit the Hollywood hunk as he filmed in a Vancouver park.

Lights, camera, action: Ryan Reynolds, 44, was on set in Vancouver filming for upcoming sci-fi film The Adam Project, a movie in which his character is forced to go back in time and reunite with his younger self

Ryan stood near the outskirts of a stone building in form-fitting blue slacks and a khaki colored jacket layered over a green t-shirt as he gave a little smirk.

He rocked a pair of stylish brown boots as he held a white pharmacy bag in his hand while filming a scene where he instructs his younger self how to stand up and fight a bully.

The various snaps show Reynolds in action as he puts his arm around his 13-year-old self who was dressed in blue pants, a green fleece coat and brown boots.

The actor posted photos over the weekend to social media where he shared some looks at the production process while writing, ‘This is a dream cast and crew. Happy to be back in the sturdy arms of my friend, life coach and director Shawn Levy.’

The project also stars a stacked cast that includes Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner and Zoe Saldana.

Ruffalo is playing the role of Reynolds’ physicist father who he tries to find by going back in time and it is currently unknown what roles Garner and Saldana will play.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Reynolds recently found out that residents of his city were petitioning to have a street named after him.

Though flattered by the gesture the comedic actor responded ‘very kind but hard pass,’ on Twitter.

He added, ‘If traffic sucks everyone will say ‘Ryan Reynolds is a mess’ or ‘Ryan Reynolds is really backed up,’ as he said that his brothers would have too much fun with that.

He also had some fun on Twitter over the weekend after finding out that the Queen was coming out with her own gin line.

Ryan who co-owns Aviation American Gin responded to the news by saying, ‘If she imposes a Gin Tax I promise a revolution.’

The Just Friends actor and his wife of eight years Blake Lively, 33, also did an act of service on Giving Tuesday as they matched donations to half a million dollars for the Covenant House to support homeless and at risk youth.
