Lisa Curry plants four garden beds for her late daughter Jaimi Lee Kenny

Grieving Lisa Curry has come up with a touching way to remember her late daughter, Jaimi Lee Kenny, who died in September.

In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, the 58-year-old former Olympic swimmer revealed she had planted four garden beds so there’d be flowers all year round. 

‘Jaimi loved her flowers so we’re building a beautiful garden for her. It has 4 garden beds around it, one for each season… so there’ll always be flowers,’ she wrote.

Lisa shared a photo of herself planting flowers in one of the garden beds while putting on a brave smile for the camera.

She revealed her husband of two years, entertainer Mark Andrew Tabone, had constructed the garden box for her.  

‘My talented hubby is great with a hammer @mark66andrew. Thank you,’ she added.

Lisa announced Jaimi’s death at age 33 in an emotional post on Instagram on September 15.

‘Our hearts are completely broken. Our beautiful daughter Jaimi has lost her battle with a long-term illness and passed away peacefully in hospital yesterday morning with her loving family by her side,’ she wrote at the time.

She added: ‘Our hearts are broken and the pain is unbearable but we cherish every wonderful moment we got to share with our treasured and so loved first child.’  

It was later reported by The Daily Telegraph that Jaimi had battled with alcoholism and an eating disorder before her death in a Sunshine Coast hospital.

In a post on Instagram last week, Lisa confessed she was still grappling to come to terms with her daughter’s death.

‘It still doesn’t seem real. It still feels like Jaimi will come home. She always did,’ she wrote.
