Chrissy Teigen showers for the first time since pregnancy loss left her unable to ‘physically stand’

She is taking some time to be thankful on her special day, as well as pamper herself.

And on her 35th birthday on Monday, Chrissy Teigen revealed that she is again able to take a shower as opposed to the baths she’s been taking in the two months she has spent recovering from her pregnancy loss in September.

The Lip Sync Battle star appeared in a robe in her bathroom with a towel on her head on Monday afternoon, taking to her Instagram Stories to share her experience with her 33.2 million followers.

‘I just had my first shower in like two months,’ she said.

‘I’ve been taking baths because I couldn’t stand to be in the shower—I couldn’t, like, physically stand in the shower,’ Chrissy then explained.

‘I feel really really good. Thank you for all my happy birthday wishes. Thank you. I feel very clear and very good.’ 

In a subsequent snippet, Teigen told her followers that she ‘cannot wait to tell you someday,’ but did not specify what it was about.

But then, the concluding clip shed a little bit more light.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit star sat in a sunnier part of her house, still in her robe and towel, clearly overcome with emotion.

‘I realize that just left you supremely hanging, I’m sorry,’ Chrissy said. ‘I just mean it’s been a ride, it has been a journey, and I am happy to be back again.’

She was referring to her and husband John Legend‘s harrowing ordeal with losing their son Jack halfway into her pregnancy this fall.

Chrissy and John are the proud parents of daughter Luna, four, and son Miles, two.

Earlier on her Instagram Stories, Chrissy posted some cute photos of her as a child.

Also included was a sweet throwback video of her playing with her then-newborn son Miles, captioned with two heart emojis.

Earlier in the day, the beauty revealed in an Instagram video she had mastered the art of preparing the perfect morning bubble bath, which she called ‘complicated.’
