He’s written several fantastic childrens books, with some such as Gangsta Granny being turned into TV adaptions.

And for his next project David Walliams has transformed into a giant for a Christmas special about Jack and the Beanstalk After Ever After on Sky One.

The comedian, 49, co-wrote the show and looked unrecognisable as he posed for some snaps all kitted out in costume, rocking a long beard and padded stomach.

Who is that! David Walliams has transformed into a giant for an upcoming Christmas special about Jack and the Beanstalk After Ever After on Sky One

David appeared to be in great spirits during filming, showing off his impressive attire and makeup.

He opted for some leather lace-up boots and a long blue tunic with a black leather belt around his sizeable midriff to completely commit to the giant’s character.

While a selection of behind-the-scenes snaps showed David’s giant character being tied to a wooded post and the villagers being running with pitchforks.

Actress Sheridan Smith also stars in the show as The Woman With No Name and was spotted rocking an eye patch and medieval-style dress.

The show picks up after the classic tale ends, with Jack discovering all is not what it seems.

When Jack (played by Eddie Karanja) discovers the Giant (David Walliams) is not dead, merely concussed and suffering memory loss, Jack pretends they’re friends to avoid being eaten.

Keen to get the Giant home, Jack must first outsmart the angry villagers including infamous giant-killerThe Woman With No Name (Sheridan Smith), the bean-swapping conman Dodgy Dave (Blake Harrison) and Jack’s own distrustful mum Pat (Jocelyn Jee Esien).

It comes after reports that David has seemingly signed up for celebrity dating app Raya as he looks for love online after being pictured with his ex Keeley Hazell.
