The Masked Singer: Paul Anka is revealed as the Broccoli

The Masked Singer’s special Thanksgiving show revealed Canadian music legend Paul Anka, who was guessed correctly by Robin Thicke.

The 79-year-old crooner was unmasked as the Broccoli, after he lost the Smackdown against the Mushroom.

The Jellyfish advanced to the Super Six finalists, with the Mushroom also securing its place as a finalist.

The show begins with all of the Group C finalists, the Broccoli, the Mushroom and the Jellyfish.

Nick Cannon comes on stage with a black and white striped cape, for some reason, as gold-clad dancers dance around him.

Just two singers from Group C will advance to the Super Finals, of Jellyfish, Broccoli and Mushroom, who will all perform.

All three of the performers will sing, with the audience, judges and America voting, with the top one safe and the bottom two facing off in the Smackdown, with the loser being unmasked.

They all start wondering where Ken Jeong is, as he comes out late wearing a turkey hat, adding that the judges were all supposed to dress up.

The guest panelist is revealed to be comedian Jay Pharoah, who says he’s ‘happy to be back’ with his ‘sexy Voltron mask.’

He starts impersonating Empire star Terrence Howard before the Group C group performance, which Cannon reveals is ‘chock full of crazy clues.’

They all start performing The Jackson 5 song I Want You Back together as the judges start dancing to the song and such.

McCarthy praised the performance, saying ‘That was awesome,’ and they did an ‘amazing job,’ adding she’s rooting for all of them.

Jeong said that it was the ‘healthiest’ ensemble for the group performance, before getting into the first clue package with the Jellyfish.

The Jellyfish says he’s a ‘super fan’ and adds that she loves watching the show with her sister, who is apparently an accountant of some sort.

‘She killed it!’ McCarthy raved, as Pharroah saying, ‘I didn’t know that was gonna come out of that Jellyfish.’

Jeong says he thinks the Jellyfish has a real shot, as Cannon brings out a new clue – ‘If you’ve found this you’ll know I’ve never performed on a stage quite like this before.’

The Mushroom is up next, saying in the clue package that he or she loves keeping the judges on their toes, and that there is only one person who knows he/she is there – a government agent.

The government agent starts dropping a number of clues, before The Mushroom starts singing Unconditional by Katy Perry, which baffles the judges.

‘This one is killing me, Ken!’ Scherzinger enthused, adding, ‘This one is frustrating me the most.’

The Broccoli clue package reveals he’s no stranger to women fawning all over him, and while he loves his fans, he’s the most grateful for two women in his life.

Broccoli performs Old Time Rock and Roll by Bob Seger, and he even does a little dance on stage, bringing the crowd to its feet.

The audience and judges all vote for Jellyfish to go into the Super Six, leaving The Mushroom and Broccoli will compete in the Smackdown.

The Broccoli and The Mushroom square off for the Smackdown, with Broccoli going first with Take Me Down by Alabama.

The Mushroom gives The Broccoli a thumbs down, before performing A Song For You by Donny Hathaway.

‘He came out singing to take him down so I took him down,’ The Mushroom said, as The Broccoli said she should take him down because she might not be in that garden again.

The votes are in and Broccoli is eliminated from The Masked Singer, as The Mushroom advances to the Super Six.

Broccoli starts the unmasking process, as the veggie is revealed to be Paul Anka, which Thicke had correctly guessed.

‘It was a great, great kick. These 65 years I’ve never been out of work. I’m very humbled because we have gone through something in our country, so to go through something like this and still have fun, it’s a wonderful thing,’ Anka said.

McCarthy asked how he stays in good shape, as he said working with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, ‘got it out of his system’ and he started getting in shape.

Jenny remains in the lead with three guesses, as the episode comes to an end with Paul Anka singing Old Time Rock and Roll once again.
