Liam Gallagher reveals his brother Noel turned down £100MILLION to reform Oasis for a reunion tour

They have been in a long-running public feud since Oasis split in 2009.

And Liam Gallagher has claimed there is ‘nothing left on the table’ to fix his row with brother Noel, after he turned down £100million to join him on a reunion tour.

The singer, 48, discusses their high-profile dispute during the upcoming episode of the Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday night as well as his new ‘festive’ track.

It’s all over! Liam Gallagher has claimed there is ‘nothing left on the table’ to fix his row with brother Noel, after he turned down £100million to join him on a reunion tour

Speaking about his brother Noel, who he says won’t engage with the idea of ending their feud for an Oasis comeback, Liam says: ‘I think we’re both the problem and the problem is that he thinks he’s not the problem. He thinks I’m both the problems.

‘Whereas I’m just a problem. I’m half the problem, whereas I can’t be having him thinking I’m the full problem. He needs to take on some of the problem. The minute he does that we’ll move on.’

He adds: ‘He needs to own his problem… No [I haven’t spoken to him]. I don’t think it’s going to happen.’

Asked by fellow guest Jon Richardson if they’d do Gogglebox together as a first step, Liam says: ‘Maybe the Bake Off… maybe we’ll just bake some bread and that or a cake or throw strawberries at each other.

‘Have a cream fight. That kind of stuff. Now you’re talking.’

However Liam appeared less inclined to do a Zoom reunion with his sibling, as when it was offered up as an idea so they didn’t have to be in the same room, he said: ‘Nah’

Liam adds: ‘Who cares anyway? I know for a fact there’s nothing left on the table. We did have a good crack. We did everything. We didn’t leave anything on the table. Like, nothing.

‘When someone offers you 100 million pounds to do a few gigs and that man, you’re going to go, ‘Alright then yeah…’ there was a lot of money knocking about.

‘It was 100 million pounds to do a tour and that and I’m thinking, ‘I’m not a d***head, know what I mean? I’ll have a bit of that.’ He’s not into it is he? He’s after a knighthood isn’t he?’

Liam says: ‘You can ask him next time. For hundred million quid I’d do that…’

Before adding: ‘Never say never.’

Discussing his latest solo single All You’re Dreaming Of, which he performs in studio, Liam says it’s festive: ‘Yeah. I don’t think it would work coming out in June.

‘When I first heard it, and first started messing around with it, it reminded me of like old New York, when you go to New York, the old windows when they start decorating them at Christmas. It had that old Bing Crosby vibe, we played a bit on that.

‘It’s now or never. I think it’s amazing man. It’s for a good cause and it is what it is man.

‘It’s for the children. For Action for Children. I’ve got enough [money]. I’ll only end up buying another parka. It’s charity and that, which is nice.’

Of whether he’s now more confident as a solo artist he says: ‘I’ve always felt confident. That has never, ever swayed me.’

He continues: ‘No, not really [had self doubt]. I’m afraid of spiders and stuff like that. I’ve got nothing to not be confident about. It’s easy being me, I get up, sing my songs, say what I say, I don’t lie, I’m not here for a career and that. There’s going to be people that don’t like me, give a s***. Know what I mean? There’s going to be people that love me – that’s cool. There’s nothing to worry about.’

He adds: ‘I know exactly who I am and I know exactly who I’m not.’

It’s no surprise that Noel turned down his brother’s offer for work, as earlier this month Liam slammed his new music collaboration Not Over Yet with CamelPhat as ‘horse****’.

The Wall of Glass hitmaker took to Twitter to respond to his followers asking him what he thinks of his older brother’s tech-house track with the dance music duo.

The musician quipped that the song, which features on CamelPhat’s new album Dark Matter, made him come out in a rash in two seconds.

After he branded the tune as ‘HORSE****’ on Twitter, one user asked Liam: ‘How many times have you listened to Not Over Yet?’

The former Beady Eye band member humorously replied: ‘2 secs come out in a rash.’

The Twitter rant continued as another follower challenged Liam by saying that tweeting about Not Over Yet was giving Noel free publicity.

But Liam quickly replied: ‘Well it needs all the publicity it can get zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (sic).’

The two brothers have been trading insults ever since Oasis split at their final concert in Paris in 2009 after a backstage bust-up.

The duo quickly went their separate ways when the band disbanded and their infamous decade-long feud has been running ever since.

In the aftermath of Oasis’s split, Liam set up a new band, Beady Eye, with former Oasis members Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock.

The band released two albums, Different Gear Still Speeding and BE, before disbanding in 2014, persuading Liam to set out on his solo career.

Noel also set up his own rock band, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, in 2010 with former Oasis members Gem, Mike, and Chris, and former Zutons star Russell Pritchard.
